From Tokyo Yuki Endo
- School of International Liberal Studies, Waseda University
Yuki grew up in Kumagaya city in Saitama. He has studied several subjects but is especially interested in Economics and International Relations. He belongs to a student group responsible for planning annual school festivals, and has helped plan many events.
Born as a low birth weight infant (LBW), he is passionate about improving food, nutrition and health issues, mainly targeting children and their families. He learned that the ratio of LBW in Japan is about 10%, which is markedly higher than in other developed countries. One reason is an unbalanced diet or too much concern about “diet” among mothers.
But at the same time, there are people in the world who have limited access to nutritious and a balanced diet. Yuki’s dream is to secure and provide opportunities for people with fewer resources around the world, by either working for an international organization or creating a social business to help them in unique ways.
He loves basketball game and is freak of NBA. Also, he really loves dogs.
“I have always worn glasses in my life. The ones I am currently wearing are my fifth pair. I love collecting different types and want to explore that more.”
