From Tokyo Natsuki Nakahara
- Department of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University
Natsuki is studying International Politics from the broad perspectives of experimental research and data analysis. She has been particularly interested in conflict prevention, refugees situations, and wider environmental problems. Her future vision is to engage in the development of self-propelling communities in developing countries.
In her free time, she enjoys reading books, especially non-fiction and books about enlightenment topics. She has a thing for delicious meals, and often goes out to eat in restaurants, even alone.
She has been involved with the Japanese martial art of naginata for almost 10 years now. As the sport is not widely popular, opportunities to practice it are not so common, but she does not let this stop her and she takes every chance she can to gain precious experience
Following her interests, she recently visited Rwanda, in Central Africa to meet with Japanese people who are engaged in various projects to find solutions to local social problems.
